The city of Kiel is looking to redesign the waterfront along the Kiel Fjord. For the planning competition and public discourse, we sketched initial ideas without pre-empting the later contest. The shoreline and adjacent urban and green spaces are playfully interwoven, gently reducing traffic along the water. Flexible spaces emerge, and a consistent colour scheme signals the  selective interventions.

And then? Two years later, we were a bit flattered to see many of our ideas reflected in Studio RW’s first prize entry. See more on the project page here.
