upper lawn pavillon – peter and alison smithson

Lasse hat gerade eine bilderserie vom upper lawn pavillon, der in den späten 50ern vom architektenpaar peter und alison smithson als eigenes wochenendhaus auf den grundmauern eines alten bauernhauses gebaut wurde beendet. großer dank geht an unsere praktikantin nga vu-thi, die hier in der modellingphase große hilfe geleistet hat.

die bilderserie hat außerdem vom allseits bekannten ronen bekerman die “best visualization of the week”-medaille verliehen bekommen – was uns sehr ehrt und ein schöner abschluss dieses kleinen internen projektes ist.

Lasse just finished a series on the upper lawn pavillon built by brutalist architects peter and alison smithson as a private weekend-house in the late 50′s on the remains of an ancient cottage.

special thanks go to our intern nga vu-thi who helped a lot in the modelling stage.

these images also received the “visualization of the weeks”-award by well known ronen bekerman – which is a big honour and gives this project a very happy ending :)

xoio provides visuals for selux

der bekannte leuchtenhersteller selux hat seine  neue website und  kataloge veröffentlicht. xoio erstellte in enger zusammenarbeit mit selux und den großartigen leuten von stanhema die renderings für das interior-programm. 
the well known lighting-manufacturer selux has gone online with their new website and published their new catalogues. xoio provided the renders in close collaboration with them and the awesome guys at stanhema of the interior-line for these.

xoio-air – finally online

Nach einem halben Jahr Entwicklung endlich online! xoio-air ist unsere Funkstation an andere Artists da draußen. Nach 6 Jahren xoio.de wollen wir uns endlich bei der Community weltweit erkenntlich zeigen, die uns und anderen Artists  im Web halfen auf Ihrem kreativen Weg weiter zu kommen. Großartig, daß es Euch gibt!

Dazu wollen wir mit Air grafisch ansprechend guten Inhalt frei anbieten.

After 6 years of xoio.de life we finally wanted to show some gratitude to the community out there, that helped us and other artists along their creative development. Great, that you are. xoio feature on Arch-Factory

Unser Kollege und Freund Tiago Alexandrino hat uns neulich gefragt, ob wir nicht Interesse hätten, auf seiner Site Arch Factory zusammen ein Interview zu machen. Obwohl wir ja lieber mit unseren Bildern kommunizieren, hat es richtig Spaß gemacht, etwas aus dem Nähkästchen zu plaudern – (den Ausdruck habe ich seit Jahren nicht benutzt …).

Kermit the Sneaker – DC

Hier ein paar Stills aus unserer DC-Animation. Das Shading der Lederoberflächen sollte auch Macro-Aufnahmen standhalten können, insofern flossen einige Stunden in die Materialien. Schaut Euch dazu die CloseUps an – allein an den Schuhbändeln tüftelten wir 2 Tage.

Eine Animation ist in Vorbereitung. Spezielle Credits gehen an Michael Lang für die Schuhbasis-Geomtrie und Steve für die HiRes Sohle!

We are glad to show some stills of our DC-animation.Shading these two sneakers was among the most demanding tasks we had to deal with in a long time, but we wanted it to make it work even at  close-range in full HD. Check out the macros for this – you wouldn’t guess how hard it is to do a believable shoelace.

Special credits go to Michael Lang and Steve Pfaffe for their skilled modelling work.

A turntable animation is underway, we hope our efforts paid off!
